Above in your post you referred to the "Log in" page then the "Checkout" page.

You actually only have one page (step) according to the image you attached earlier.

When you log in, it is refreshing that same step.

So it's just one page/step that you have.

It sounds to me as though you want a two-step checkout.

Which means that you would have to use the "Add Step" button, then drag the items that you want to show for that step. For example:
