Modules menu assignment won't work with Cart menu

Hello,

I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm missing something...

I have 2 Hikashop menus, one of type HikaShop » Category / Listing and one of type HikaShop » Cart.

Then I have a few modules assigned to both menus. (Both menus are assigned to the same template)

When I click on the Category listing menu, my custom modules display fine.

But when I click on the Cart menu, none the modules will display...

Also, there is no parameter for the Hikashop Cart menu ?

I tried to use a Hikashop Cart module displayed inside an article. I can get my modules fine if I do that but clicking on product items inside the cart module takes us out of the current menu - Joomla takes us back to the home page menu item (i.e. the Itemid parameter is missing) - edit: This happens only if SEF if enabled - need to put Itemid parameter in the cart's form?

Using the latest stable version : 1.6.0, on the latest Joomla 1.5.26

Thanks for your help!

You should not use the type cart but the type checkout.
The type cart should not appear and should not be used.

With that type, you have the option "force a menu on checkout" of the Checkout tab of the configuration where you can select your "hikashop" menu that will be used for the links of the cart on the checkout and you will see your modules.

Hello Nicolas,

Thanks for clarifing this. I guess the cart menu will be gone in future releases... So if you want to offer a view of the cart to your users, the only option is to use a cart module? (Or use Cart first in the checkout workflow?)

Regards

Jean-François
