Hi,

Thank you for all you do.

I am having trouble setting up my tax rules for my shop.

I do not understand how it works. My store needs two different tax codes. One for in state and one for out of state. of the United States. I am using paypal plug in. How does the system know which to charge?

Any help would be fantastic

Hi renesalinas,

When the customer is in the checkout, the billing address is asked, and the tax calculation is based on the customer address.

Hope this will help you.

Hi Xavier,

Thank you for your help.

I am using paypal, therefore when the customer is redirected to paypal when they input their address the sales tax will show if it matches one of the rules?

Hi,

Yes they will show if it match one of the rules, and if it does not match it take the default taxes.
