How does the demo with webcam option work

I also have an option like on the demo site where the option is 'without webcam'.

My option is set to zero price, but the option 'without webcam' appears in my shopping cart as a Free item.

Wht's the demo site doing that I can't?

On the demo website, there is the option "group options with product" turned on in the Checkout tab of the configuration.
