Prices

Hello again,

I'm having issues with the pricing.

I have iDeal on my website with which customers can pay their orders.
It got to my attention that the amounts that iDeal was calculating were different from the amounts that Hikashop was calculating.

I think i have found what the issue is.
It's in the taxes and the multiple digits there i think.

When i have a product that is € 0,08 incl taxes then this is how it is calculated:
iDeal: 35 products x € 0,08 = € 2,80 (this is correct)
Hikashop: 35 products x € 0,0813483 = € 2,8471905 --> € 2,85 (this is not correct)

How can i make Hikashop just take the including tax prices and throw away the extra digits?

Could it be that there were some changes about this in the latest version?
Seems to be changed since i installed the last version, before that everything worked fine.
It's really becoming a big issue, because all of my orders now have different amounts that customers have to pay.

Hi,

We had users complaining that their accounting software were calculating it like that and that HikaShop was wrongly rounding the prices before calculation.
So we indeed fixed the calculations in HikaShop so that it uses all the digits you have for the price and not just the two first decimals as that's how it should be.
If you want HikaShop to calculate the price with 0.08, just enter that price in the price with tax amount of the product (so that HikaShop will calculate the price without tax needed (with all the digits)).

I actually don't know how the iDeal plugin you're using works. But it could be that the calculation would have to be fixed in the plugin in order also have €2.85 on iDeal.

Oh dear that is really a big issue.
If my customers want to buy 50 products that cost € 0,05 each.
They want to pay € 2,50 for it and not an increased price because Hikashop also calculates the digits behind the comma.

The way you say to fix it doesn't work.
As an example when i change the incl tax price for a product that costs €0,25 and i save this, Hikshap changes it into 0.2499981.
There always seems to be some kind of calculation.
Besides that i dont want this solution. I have to do this manually for more then 1000 products.
The including taxes price isnt included in the csv export file, so i cant change it there either.

On the other hand i also don't know what the iDeal checkout calculates.
The € 2,85 is not the amount that i want the customers to pay.

I really want the settings back from before this new version. Is there any way we can do that?

This is indeed totally screwing up my payment methods.
In the attachments you can see that i have an order of € 3,82 and my payment method paypal charges 2,60.
This is not doable. All my orders are incorrect.

Edit:
After analyzing this problem i've come to the following conclusions:
1) The iDeal plugin doesnt work with the new version of HS. I have sent a mail to the company that makes the plugin to if they know this and if they are working on this.

2) I need to adjust my pricing. This would be a whole lot easier if i could do that with the export module.
But since this only has the excluding taxes column, this doesnt work.
Can you help me with a way to export the including taxes column?

3) It would be better if in the next version of HS we get an option to use the amounts in 2 digits, not all digits.
Is this an option?

Ok, so i changed all my prices manually today.
Which was a hell of a job.
Will you take the extra column in the export module in considoration for the next version?
That would make my life a lot easier :-)

Yes, we'll add the possibility to have the column price_value_with_tax in imported CSVs in next version of HikaShop.
