Updating Hikashop Web Site

Hello,

I am using a development version of my web-site on a subdomain such as development.mywebsite.com.
After I introduce certain number of changes/updates, I use Akeeba Backup to copy updated version of web-site over my live version located at www.mywebsite.com .
This way of updating saves me from possible errors and from possible mistakes that could be introduced by my Shop Manager (as he has access to backend).

However, the above way has one big disadvantage: every time I loose orders history completely.
I was considering exporting/importing it. I see button "Export" under Orders menu, but I can't find a way to import/restore it to my live site after update.

Is there any good way of keeping my orders history with Akeeba?
Any other alternative solutions/suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

There is no import feature for orders.
If you just want to export/import the databse, you can use PhpMyAdmin or other backup extensions which are more specialized in database backup.
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...site-security/backup
