SOLVED: Mini cart, full cart and checkout

I have enabled a mini cart at the top of my pages to just show whether there are items in the basket. I don't want the full cart details there. However, when I click on the mini cart link nothing happens, so customers can't see the full cart details or proceed to checkout. How can I fix that please? Do I have to publish a second Hikashop cart module that is not a mini cart? If so, how do I do that so it doesn't show up / is hidden until the link in the mini cart is clicked?

Sorry, ignore this. The links weren't working in the module postion I chose in my template, but they do work if I move them on the page.
