Download Product from second Server

Hi there,

i want to set up a Shop where i´m selling music instrument samples, those are big files, lets say around 600mb, so i want to have them on a second server without just sending my costumers the link.

is there a possibility to archieve this with a secure link?

Hi,

Yes it's possible, in the product edition page, when you add a file to your product you can set a link instead of uploading a file.
And this link will never be seen by the customer.

unfortunately it doesnt work.

I create a new Product, give it a price, description and so on... then i add a new file, set "specify the file location" and put there my link. then i made a test purchase via payal sandbox, the link is send to me, not the direct download link it sends me to my site, then i log in and get a systhem message with "File not Found" if i go to user panel and there to my orders it is the same.

the link where i get is: "webpage-name--hikashop-menu-for-user-control-panel/order/download/file_id-3/order_id-7"

at this moment i only have the starter version, is this feature there aviable or do i just make some wrong configurations?
