Q1 The customer order the product (put the product to the shopping cart), when the
customer select "checkout" function, the request will send to customer and seller (partner)
through e-mail to notify them.

Q2 Upload product information / change order status by partner. If the partner sells their products, they should not view and change other production information

how to configuration the request ?

Hi,

Q1: There is no notification to the seller upon order creation at the moment in HikaShop. If you know how to code in PHP, you can create a plugin to handle that. We have a documentation of the API to achieve that:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/62.html#common

Q2: At the moment HikaShop does not offer a multi vendor feature. So only the store manager can add/edit a product and change an order status. We want to develop such a feature in the future but that won't happen before January.

Really? No notifications? How is the seller supposed to know there is a new order? If you ask me this is a MUST HAVE feature for any shopping cart (and is standard in every other cart I've seen). I already know that my client is not going to like that he has to log in constantly to check his orders. Is there another option or an already existing plugin? I'm not a php expert, but I can handle simple modifications if need be.

EDIT: I just spoke with my client as he's not happy as predicted. This is a show stopping must have feature. I unfortunately have no money to hire a php programmer to develop this, especially when it should be included in the software. Crap, I should've asked about it before I bought it but I didn't think that you would have just left that feature out. It's industry standard.

Hi,

There is no notification on order creation BUT there is a notification when orders are confirmed (there is an option in the config to specify an email address for that). We though that it would be more important for users to know when an order is confirmed than when an order is created. Isn't that ok for your client ?
Also you can easily create a plugin to send an email when an order is created:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/62.html#common
You can create a standard joomla plugin (take example on the history plugin we provide) and implement the function onAfterOrderCreate where you can send your email.

Features will be a must have for some and useless to others. Some users don't understand why there isn't an import feature where it should be standard, some will think about options, or ACL, or USPS shipping plugin, etc. We would love to have all the features our users want already in HikaShop. But we have a limited time to develop them. HikaShop is still young, it will come...

I want the seller to receive an email as well as the buyer, so the seller can react immediately to ship the items out. If you already have the routine programmed to send an email to the buyer after purchase it should be easy enough to add an option to send to the seller as well, right?

Well, it's just few lines of code to add, then add two mail files for the email content, add the email options in the install file and then test it.

The problem is that making a release is not only about one feature. You can't do a release if you already started other things...You need to finish and test all the stuff you started before releasing a new version. That's why it takes some time. It's when you try to release without testing features or with half finished features that problems occurs.

Actually, I already implemented it in the code and I just tested it few minutes ago. We are currently finishing the tests on the new features and hope to release before the end of the day.

Very cool indeed! As always thanks for the great support that goes above and beyond. It shows you are really dedicated to this module and your customers! By the way what does the yellow logo/symbol for Hikashop mean? It's a Japanese character right?

It's indeed a japanese character. It means light like in a ray of light.

Yes. Actually, that was already in the previous release we did on monday. You can download the latest version and update to it and you will receive notifications on order creation.

Hi there,

If you're talking about the Hikashop configuration, you'll find it in System>Configuration.

There is already an admin notification upon order creation by default. Please note that this thread is almost three years old and that this has been added more than two years ago.

There is nothing to do in order to get an admin notification upon order creation unless you emptied the field "order admin notification email address" of the configuration. If that field contains your email address and that you're still not receiving the notifications, in means that there is a problem with your email settings preventing your email server to send that email notification.
