Hi.
I downloaded the free starter version of HikaShop but would upgrade to a paid version if it looks like Hikashop is right for me. I am at the beginner stage right now of feeling like I'm the most stupid person in the universe -
When I go into the Categories section, it seems I have managed to lose the Explorer section - where you get root then product category listed underneath. I tried uninstalling HikaShop and doing a new installation but it's still gone. I don't know if this matters but assume it probably does. So - how do I get Explorer back? I've added a screenshot in case it helps.

Thank you very much!

Hi,

In HikaShop > Configuration > Display, there is an option to hide the explorer "Back end categories explorer" check if this option is set to "Yes", then its probably one of your category which is corrupted.

Then you will have to delete your categories and your products, in phpMyAdmin empty the tables #__hikashop_product, #__hikashop_product_category, #__hikashop_category.
And add the categories and the products again. If you imported them by csv, correct your csv file before import.

Thanks Xavier - I have no idea how it happened but the back end categories explorer was indeed set to "No."

Something completely different - are there any plans to make a complete users' manual or perhaps a Getting Started video like the ones you can see on the very helpful Lynda.com?

We have already some tutorials:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentation.html

You can too find a FAQ here:
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentation/faq.html

But doing videos to learn how to use HikaShop is something that we keep in mind.
