I need to change the order of the First- and Last-name in all Mails. I mean the title at the top of each mail with the customers name.
I use this shop in Japan there the title has to be Last- First name.
How can I do that?

I have no php knowledge therefore please an easy description.

1. Account confirmation mail (the mail that is automatically send to activate the account)
2. Order notification mail (the mail that is send to the customer when the order is created)
3. Order Confirmed
4. Order cancelled
5. Order refunded
6. Order shipped

I believe that Hikashop does use the joomla (user) name for the header in the mails instead the hikashop last and first name.
I'm using the simplified registration with password. The First and Last name go directly into joomla (user) registration without seeing it in the front end. Would there be a way to change the order of the first and last name?

Best regards
Raphael

Hi Raphael,

If you want to edit your "hikashop mail", you'll have to:

- Go to "Hikashop->Configuration->mails"
- Edit the mail that you want to change

Note that this feature is just available in the business edition.

Hi

I have the business version and know that it is possible to change the mails in the configurations, but I have no idea about php therefore I need to know exactly where to change them!

Also it is not that easy, as hikashop does take the name from the Joomla (user) and there is no way to change the order of the first- and last name.

I would appreciate if you could let me know how and where to change it in each mail.

Best regards
Raphael

Hi,

It's actually the same question that you already asked here:
www.hikashop.com/en/forum/6-japanese-support/70049.html
Did you had a problem with our answers ?
There is only one method to do it and that was the one explained there.

Hi Nicolas

Yes we had problems with the answer. The things we had to change where not working, the support in Japanese was not really helpful as the way to do it was not explained well and my Japanese partner did not really understand where and what to change. I have to tell that we have no php. knowledge and we need the exact way to do it. If the steps are not explained well then we can't do it.

I'm always happy with the English support that's why I thought it will be easier for us to ask here and get the right answers.

Anyway, I just found a way to make it work today, without changing any of your mails.
I switched the Last name and First name in the registration form (custom fields), changed the order in the address_template (views) and override the Last name and First name in the language file.

This way the Last name and First name shows incorrect in the Customer database, but shows correctly in every mail and Invoice.

Best regards

Hi,

Ah yes, that's an interesting way of doing it too.

That's great that you already found a solution for that.

The Japanese support person doesn't know coding either which is why it can get difficult at times. It's best to ask in English for technical stuff like that since none of our developers speak Japanese well (I speak it but not enough to write customer replies in the polite manner you would expect in Japan).
