How do i remove products from a category page

Hi there, I want to only show sub categories on teh page and then only display the products when i click on the sub category - how do i hide teh products from this page;

You have to set the option "Sub elements filter" to "Direct sub elements" in your category listing module.
You can access this module via HikaShop > Display > Content menus, click on your category listing menu, then click on the associated module.

that doesnt seem to have had any effect..

I think that's because the products are in the main category, that's why they are displayed.
To display only the categories, you should create a main category with sub-categories inside (and no product in the main category) and then you will have only the sub-categories.
In your subcategories add the products, and they will display these products.
