Tax Rate by county or postal code

Georgia(USA) requires sales tax to be charged based on the delivery address. Each county and some cities charge a local rate on top of the 4% GA State rate. I have not been able to find anything on how to configure this in Hikashop. I'm assuming that I would have to create a Zone for each postal code and assign it the combined rate. I would like to know if this is the correct strategy and if the system will apply the rate based on zip/postal code before I invest the time to configure, as it will be time consuming.

Hi there,

Indeed you found the right way to deal with this. You have to configure a tax rate for each state where you may sold products and give to these taxes a specific zone.
Once this is done, the tax applied on your product will be determined by the address of the customer, according to the zone he belongs to.
You can make few tries with two tax rate with two different zones and see by yourself how it works :)
