Variant images being shown in caraosel

Hope someone can help

My main products have images, however the variants don't which is fine, they are simply variations of colors and sizes.
When viewing the product the variant image which does not exist is not shown.

as it states in the documentation: "If you don't set any images for a variant, the main product images will be used."


However in the bestsellers and carousel the empty blank default images keep being shown (the barcodes how can I prevent this)

I don't think I should need to re import all the same images for variants there are over 25k after all.

Thanks Nicolas my bad, I have immported variants as main products, thanks
