Hi

Is it possible to turn off the registration requirement for checkout?

I use Community Builder for the registration on my site for members and I have a member shop which is for registered users only.

I just want to setup a separate shop for non members and I have done it using different product categories but I can't work out how to turn off the registration requirement. Also if I do I assume this will impact my other shop on the same sight.

If it is easy I can just turn off registration for both but would prefer to split it into registration for member products and no registration for other products.

Any ideas ?

Hi,

I think you can use the "no registration" for the "registration" option, in the configuration checkout.
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...config.html#checkout

Registration : When this option is set to "no registration" the fields name, username, password and password verification from the HikaShop registration form will be removed and no Joomla user account will be created for the user on the website. When it is set to "simplified registration", those fields will also be removed but an account will be automatically created for the users and an email will be sent to him with his assigned username and password. When this option is set to registration, the users will have to register on the website during the checkout. This option is available in all commercial versions of HikaShop (since 1.3.7). On the starter edition only the registration mode is possible. Finally, please note that when you sell digital goods, the download of these goods is restricted to the users who bought the digital goods. In order to do that check HikaShop needs you to have user accounts for your users, which means that you will have to use either "registration" or "simplified registration".

But is there a way to have two seperate hika shops on the same web site so I can configure one to be no registration and one that requires registration?

Hi,

To have two HikaShop, I think that you you need two Joomla installations on your server.
When installing the second Joomla, don't forget to set another prefix for the database tables.

Oh I only want to keep one Joomola instance as this is only a temporary shop so I would need to have two shops in one place if that is possible.

It's not possible to have two times the same component on on Joomla.

What do you really need ? Because in HikaShop, you can restrict the display of products to registered members only, and have other products that anybody can see.
For the checkout, you can set the option to no registration, disable the login or enable it, use the simplified registration, etc.
