Problem with limiting the no. of products ordered.

Hi,

I would like to limit the number of items ordered on my site to something reasonable (say 10).

However any limit imposed seems to be easily broken, i.e. if I initially put in say 16 it accepts it (16 in shopping cart).
If I try to add 1 more it resets the quantity back in the shopping cart to 10.
If I try to add 2 more it lets me (making 12 in the shopping cart).

Which version of HikaShop do you use ?

Hi Jerome,

I am afraid I am still back on version 1.5.8 as it would take a lot of work to update Hikashop.
The site is live, so I could PM the admin. login details or web address if you wish.

That's indeed a problem that we fixed with 1.6. I would recommend to update.

You should try to do the update on a copy of your website first and see how that goes.

Hi Nicolas,

It will take me some time to upgrade owing to the numerous tweaks I did in Hikashop & Joomla.
As you recommended, I will live with the problem on the live site for now, and will try upgrading to the latest Hikashop & Joomla locally in WampServer first.

I do have another minor problem, but before wasting any more of your time I will see if that has also been fixed in the latest versions before reporting it.
