how to catch when order is confirmed

i would like to create a plugin to catch info when status of orders are changed.
Could you tell me if you trigger some event and if it's possible or if nothing has been planed on this topic ?

According to the documentation , you can use the trigger onAfterOrderUpdate(&$order,&$send_email) or onAfterOrderCreate(&$order,&$send_email)
