Display the Category

Hello. I have an issue.
I want to display the category in the Hikashop module "Categories on 1 level", but not to display it in the Category listing in the catalogue (domain.com/catalogue).

So for examample, I have 6 categories of products displayed in the Catalogue and I created additional categories for the sake of better navigation across the shop, and these additional categories should be displayed only in the Hikashop module "Categories on 1 level".

Please tell me, is there any way to do that?

Hi,

If you unpublished a category, it wouldn't be displayed in the listing anymore. But a "hidden" category could still be used in module assignation.

Well, I tried to, but the one i've unpublished doesn't display in the module. Maybe I shall fix the settings of the module?

Which category have you select in the module ?
The unpublished category or is parent category ?

The parent category ("2 product category" to be exact) is selected in the module. What If I want to use both my main categories + additional? In the dialogue window of selecting the associated category, I can't select more than one.

Well. Just to provide you with more information.

I have 6 categories in the main catalogue (domain.com/catalogue). And I want only this six to be displayed in the main catalogue. I created more categories (additive, not main ones, for the sake of better navigation) which are planned to be displayed only in the "categories on 1 level" module. So, when this additive categories are published they are displayed both in the module and in the catalogue. When unpublished - they are displayed neither in the catalogue nor in the module.

Hi,

A unpublished category is hidden but it could be used by modules to display his content. But you have to select this category, not his parent.
If you don't want to display the subcategories, you have to change the option "show sub categories".

If I select the category in the module, there's only one category displayed in the module. But I need to display both my main categories + unpublished additives

Hi,

So, the best solution would be to create several categories.
One, with your "category tree", the other, with no child.

What will be displayed in the main catalogue then? Will I have my main 6 categories displayed?
