Hi

I don't see my product photos (hikashop business) in the joomla media manager.

After searching in the forum for such a topic I found out that it may be an access rights issue.

Here my settings
media/com_hikashop incl. the sub folders are set to 755
and the photos are set to 644

Do I need to change those permissions or is there an other way of showing the product photos in the joomla media manager?

Looking forward to get an answer.

Hi,

It's not a permission issue.
The media manager use "/images/" as root path.
So, you can't access to the "/media/" path.

Hi Jerome

So where can I access the product photos? Only through FTP?
If I want to use the photos on dj-slider then I need to add them manually into the joomla media manager or is there an other solution?

regards

Hi,

Can you change the root folder for your media manager ? Else try to find another one which can do that, or access your files by ftp.

To use the photos on dj-slider, see if you can navigate to the folder "/media/" with it.

Hi Xavier

Right now I do use the media manager that comes with Joomla 2.5.
Can you explain me how to change the root?
Or can you tell me what extension would be able to manage the folder of Hikashop? which one do you guys recommend?

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry but I have not knowledge on media managers, I think that you can maybe find what you need on google.

I think that eXtplorer or DOCman can help you.

Hi

Sorry but those programs are to complex for me and I can't access the Hikashop file.

I feel that it is strange not to be able to access the product photos on Hikashop in the backend. Then when I delete a product, I need to delete this photo by FTP?? It makes no sense to me....

Do you guys plan something for the future? Or is there a tool just to manage (see and delete) your photos in Hikashop?

Best regards
Raphael

Yes actually you have to manage by FTP, or use a file manager component.

We don't have enough request about file explorer in HikaShop to implement a file explorer.
A lot of components already allow that so we don't really need to develop it.

We prefer focus ourselves on new features (shop features).
