Hi,

We manufacture plaster products. The plaster is white. A dye can be added to the manufacturing process to colour the plaster product. Doing so adds 10% to the cost of the product. What would be the best way to set this up?

Hi,

I think you can use variants/characteristics for the product.
The "white" variant would have the default price and the other colors would have 10% higher price.

Hi,

I was hoping I could create one variant called Colour and give it a price of "+10%" and then be able to assign that variant to all of my products -- rather than creating a variant for each product and pricing them individually...

Is that possible?

Hi,

I think that the easiest way is to set the main price 10% more than the actual price. Add the characteristic to your products, by this way all the variants will cost 10% more than the white product.
Then you edit the variant "white" and reduce the price of 10%, and in the main product edition page, select the default variant to "white".

Doing like that, you just have to edit one variant by product.
