I've gone through every relevant post I could find and don't see reference to this issue - hopefully an easy fix.

The 11/08/2012 FedEx plugin installed, configured with account number, meter, API key and password, shipping options selected and plugin enabled.

On checkout in the front-end, Fedex is not presented as an option, though these messages are displayed:

  • The length of the destination state or province exceeds the limit of 2 characters.
  • The length of the origin state or province exceeds the limit of 2 characters.
  • This shipment qualifies for FedEx Home Delivery. Please resubmit your request with serviceType Ground Home Delivery.

Hi,

Even if your fedex configuration did not change, the rest of the configuration could.
The Fedex plugin read the user addresses in order to create his request.
For example, it read the $address_country->zone_code_2
Does your zone configuration is right ?

This is a new site, not yet in production. The FedEx plugin is configured to my understanding of what is needed but has never worked.

To try to track this down, I created a new / fresh site with Hika 2.0 and the FedEx plugin and a sample category and product, the configuration works perfectly on the fresh install - same configuration I have in the site I'm trying to go live with.

On the site that doesn't work, editing the shopper's shipping address in the front end (changing the state from California to Iowa) removed the first message, so I also edited the Plugin to indicate the origin was in Iowa and it works as expected...so plugin configuration appears to be correct.

It would seem I may have corrupt zone data? I don't relish the thought of rebuilding from scratch to get it to work.

Update: Resolved - copied the record for California from the working installation.
