About Shipping in Checkout

i have one doubt, i have in one ckeckout step the resume of the order, choose shipping method and a custom field.
When i change the shipping method does it have to automatically update the cart?
the problem is that it only updates when i click the proceed to next step buttom and waht it does is loading again the same step with the price modified is it that way?

If you want it to automatically update the cart when you're changing the shipping method, you'll have to:
- Go to "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout"
- Set the "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" Option to YES

the problem if i do that is that it gave me a huge problem, people choose the shipping method but i the last step it changes again to the initial one

If you don't have the "cart" in the same step "payment" and "shipping", I don't think that it will be useful to update your cart regarding the shipping/payment method that have selected.

changing the shipping to another step and forcing autosubmit fix the problem, but i prefer having it in the same place that the cart display so they can see how much the shipping is
