I have searched for this but only found references to the joomla search module and enabling the hikeshop search plugin. This must search all of the site no????
I have many differnt sections on my web and would like a search box on my store pages that just searches the store.

I can't find out how to do this!

Hi,

If you don't have other search box, you can disable the search plugins related on Joomla.

Thanks,

I don't think I am using any other Joomla search just K2 and other components searches.

This may be a problem on other sites that also use Joomla searches as they may want just a product search.

Well it does seem to be a problem for me as I don't want K2 items to show up when people are searching for a product.

Is there a way to have a search JUST for the store products?

If disabling all the search plugin but hikashop doesn't work, so there is actually no solutions to search only products.

I am very disappointed to hear this. I think searching for products is a VERY important part of a component and something that a component like this should have.

When people want to search for a product it is very confusing if all the articles come up in the results too. The would probably give up and shop somewhere else.

Hi,

I think it could be possible thanks to "filters" to create a search like field in a product listing.
If your product listing display all products including products in sub categories, you would be able to do a search on all your products (or in a category).
