shipping abroad, how does hikashop differentiate?

A user from Sweden contacted me regarding a product, and the shipping price..
This is the first time I've had a need to handle shipping abroad, and it got me wondering..

How can/does hikashop differentiate between the users and shipping methods, when a user is from a different country?
is that based on the users registration? if userlocation=sweden, then only show shipping methods available to swedish users?

Hi,

Yes the shipping method can be displayed depending on the user shipping address.
Be sure that in you shipping method configuration a zone is set.

If you set a shipping method zone in sweden, so the swedish users will see this shipping method. To hide the other shipping methods, sweden must not be in the zone selected for these shipping methods.
