Problems with my cart

I have just set up a shop but the cart doesn't have any go to checkout button.
This means that I can add products to the cart but I can't go to the checkout.
How can I add a checkout button?

Another thing is it possible to check out without registering as a customer?
I don't want to have 1000 registered customers in the database so there must be a way to let customers just fill in their address and checkout with PayPal for example.

Greatful for any assistance with this.

Hi,

Do you have the latest HikaShop version ?
Can you check in the view "product / checkout" if there are a part to display the "proceed to checkout" button ?

It's possible to checkout without registering, many topic are already talking about that, I invite you to make a search.

Hi,

Yes I have the latest version HikaShop Starter 2.0.0 on Joomla 2.5.8.

I don't find this view the one I find is:
Under Global settings/Display Standard parameters for products there is no such option but I might be totally disoriented here.

Ok I will make a search for that.
Thanks.

I think a way that you may be able to do is that in your checkout process you don't require registration

go into system - configuration - checkout and then on the registration option try no registration.

That may work for you.

Just a note, i'm another user who just saw this and thought that it might help, if not i'm sorry.

Thanks

Tom

Tom,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion.
It seems though that this solution is for the Essential version as it say in my backend.

Can you check in you cart module options if the option "Show proceed button in the cart" is enabled ?

Could you give us a backend access to your website ?

Xavier,
Got the solution in this thread regarding the check out button:
www.hikashop.com/en/forum/4-how-to/76913...or-product-view.html

But still need assistance to find where I can change layout for the product view.
I would like 5 or 6 columns for listing of the products not 3 as it is now and I haven't found where to change this either.

Hi,

To change the number of columns, you have to edit you menu/modules parameters, in HikaShop > Display > Content menu/module change the number of columns to 5 or 6, if it's a menu, change the parameters too in the associated module.
