change add to cart to read more in product listing

I want to change the "Add to Cart" from the catagory productlisting to "Read More" about the product. I want that users reads first the product description before buy the product.
Also the item must go then to the product details.

Hi,

You should use configure your HikaShop menu option in order to not display the "add to cart" button (Backend: Display > Content menu).
After that, if you want to add some HTML code in order to put your "read more" link and image. You would have to edit the listing view.

You have to check your type of listing (regarding to your screenshot it should be : listing_img_title) and edit the corresponding view: "Your front-end template | products | listing_img_title".
The link is already display in the product name so you could use the same code.

Hi Jerome

I think that i was not clear enough,... what i want is that the buyer can't use the add to cart option from the category product list but only in the product details page.
this to make sure that customer have bought the product based on the details and not the name.

Is this posible

Hi,

I think that you should maybe just :
- Go to "Hikashop->Display->Content menus->'Your product listing'"
- Set the "Display 'Add to cart' button" to NO

Then your customer will have to go to the product's page to buy this product.

i've tried your option but won't work :(

Ok, so can you :
- Go to "Hikashop->Display->Content modules"
- Edit the module with the ID number 334
- Set the "Display 'Add to cart' button" option to NO
