Product Order (oh and thumbnails)

I guess that I am missing the point, but I would like to have the products entered displayed in alphabetic order when displayed, but the only way I seem to be able to do it is to manually sort each catergory. I also have an 'all' catergory, which I then have to sort again! There must be a way to do it, but I am missing the obvious somewhere. Any help?

Also, is there a way to turn the thumbnail of on the product display?

Hi,

You can select the ordering in product listing.
By editing your menu (or module) in Display > Content Menu (or module), you would be able to select the way to order your products.

Sorry not quite sure where you mean ... is that within Hikashop or within Joomla?

Is this where you mean? It doesn't seem to offer the option for products just catergories?

Yes that's because it's your category listing, not your product listing, you should just go to "Hikashop->Display->Content menu->'Your product listing'" and use the "ordering field" option.

Thanks for that, I've made a mess somewhere and need to look at it.
If I set the Type of content to 'Product' instead of 'Catergory' nothing is displayed.... I've clearly gone wrong somewhere and need to try to work out where

Hi,

I don't think that you are editing the right entry.
It is possible that you don't have any menu for product listing so, you are using the default hikashop listing.
The option in the in the HikaShop options, tab "display", section "Default parameters for products", option "Ordering field".
