Product Catergory Titles disappeared

Trying to solve my other bits, I though I would update to the latest stable version which I've done. However, now my product catergories are missing from the screen. Previously they where displayed.

The problem appeared when I did the hikashop update to the latest stable version. When you select the product catergories option from the menu, it used to display 'Product Catergories' above the catergory images, when you moved into the catergories it would display the category name 'Chilli Seeds' for example, and then when you moved to the sub-cat it would display that 'annuum' for example.

I am also now having an issue where by since the joomla update to 1.7.2 which was forced on me via my host, I now seem to have the word 'notice' appearing in all of these places along with every other page .... I know this is nothing to do with you guys, but if you know how to stop it I would be so grateful ... nobody at joomla seems to respond!

Are you talking about the breadcrumb that you can enable trough the joomla module manager ?

No. I've just tried turning that off, and it made no difference

Did you enabled your joomla cache ? if YES, can you disable it and see if it works ?
