Hello. I have an Article with a lot of graphic work on it and I want to replace one of my hikashop categories with it. Is this possible? If so, how is it done?

Thank You!

This is the Hikashop category link: https://www.******.com/index.php?needplan=True&choice=1&option=com_hikashop&view=category&layout=listing&Itemid=184

This is how I replaced the article (article id=88): https://www.******.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=88&Itemid=184

Hope this helps some.

Hi,

I think that you can maybe use the the Hikashop product insert plugin that will allow you to add your category's products to your joomla articles.

Hope this will help you.

Yes, I can do that, but my workshop is customized so that when you purchase one product you have to purchase the other that goes with it to checkout. When I send the user straight to the products page this customization no longer applies. Not sure why this happens. Is it because I have a duplicate page with the same ID (184)

I noticed when I replace the page with the article the link changes to this: https://www.******.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=category&task=listing&cid=21&name=yellow-devices&Itemid=184%20

I assume the 20% is significant in solving the problem, I just really have no programming/web development experience. Maybe you could shed some light on this? Thank You.

Hi,

It means that there is a space at the end of the text given to the function hikashop_completeLink.
We have to check it, but it could be a unwanted space in your product insert code or a mistake in the "product insert" plugin.

Hi,

Sorry, I didn't really understood your problem in my previous post.
The "product insert" plugin don't consider product's options, but that's a good idea so we will probably add this feature in the next version of this plugin.
