Related Products Module

First i want to say Happy new year for all of the hikashop team,

Now, i'm a little confused about how to get a module bellow the product page that shows products in the same categories as the product showed, i have read your manuals and some other posts over here but i can't find the right way to do it.

To display the related products under the product page, you have to go in HikaShop > Configuration > Display, select a module for the option "Modules under the product page".
Then in the module options, set "no" for "Random items", "yes" for "Synchronize with currently displayed item when possible".

The best way is to add related products in the product edition page and add the products in the same category.

mmm, don't know why i'm having pagination inside the module shen it sincs with current product.
Is there a neat way to make it load random products of the same categories?

There is no way to display the products of the same category, because a product can be in many categories.
So how to determine which category choose..

The way is to use the related products in the product edition page.
Or try to edit the sql request in the module displaying the products.

I have 3500 products, i can not add related products one by one, is impossible to manage.
My products have only one category assigned to them.

I don't know what to do with this issue.

You can maybe try to edit the function "listing" in the file "components/com_hikashop/views/product/view.html.php" and check if the listing is for the wanted module, if yes add some conditions for the request and select only the products in the same category.

It should be the best way to do that.
