Hi there -

I have a Joomla menu item which points to a Hikashop Category Listing. I have set up the associated product listing for that menu item. The Categories display fine, and even show the correct number of items. However, when you click on any of the category listings, the resulting page contains nothing.

For example: http://demo.legerinteractive.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=category&layout=listing&Itemid=200

If you click on Adidas Shoes (2) you get a blank page.
http://demo.legerinteractive.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&ctrl=category&task=listing&cid=15&name=adidas-shoes&Itemid=200

For reference, you can click on the Adidas menu item on the left under Shoe Brands and see that there are two products in there.
http://demo.legerinteractive.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=product&layout=listing&Itemid=176

I'm sure I'm missing something, but if I bang my head on my desk one more time, I think I'll pass out :)

Hi,

You have to select a menu in the associated module. The latest option in the left part.
Try to select the "category listing" menu.

Ok, now I have the same issue with trying to get the Brands to list in the same fashion.

The "Shoe Types" work great. Stability, Nuetral etc.

I added the menu to the "brands" module - Have tried Brand Listings, Category Listings and Product Listings - along with every other option. Same issue though. When you click on the "Adidas" link, for example, you get a blank page.
http://demo.legerinteractive.com/index.php?option=com_hikashop&view=category&layout=listing&Itemid=204

The module is configured like this, and its assigned to the proper menu.

And selecting the "category listing" as menu for this module doesn't work ?
The brands are working like categories.

Ok, lets cut to the chase. Here is what I am ultimately trying to do:

Have a Joomla menu item which brings me to a page where I have a category listing (title only) and next to it a brand listing (title only).

For example:

What is the best way to do this??

Hi,

What you should do is this:
Create a joomla article page and then, using the load position plugin of joomla ( docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F ) simply add the default HikaShop categories 1 level listing module and the default HikaShop brands listing module to it on each side of a two columns HTML table and you should be all set.
These default modules are pre installed with HikaShop and are preconfigured to work properly so you wont have these blank page issues because of a mis configuration.
