Hi!

Is there a way for my client to add the prices for different characteristics and set the access level with phpmyadmin?

He's struggeling because he has about 4000 products he has to assign a price too, but for every product, there's about 5 to 10 characteristics with different prizes.
On top of that, there are 2 shoppergroups he's adding different prices too so it's quite the undertaking.

Is there a way (for me?) to fill in the ID number of the product and the prices corresponding to the different charasteristics codes and insert this into the database?
Perhaps with PHP

Or even better, can we add this with CSV?
Would be great to hear from you.

Hi,

You can do it easily using the CSV import.

Hi Jerome,

Thanx for your reply.

I downloaded the csv from the productview page and i'm editing that one for testing.

Quick questions:

1) Do I need all the coloms intact when I upload the csv for import? I mean can I delete column D, E, G and H for instance? I dont need to edit those and I wouldn't want the customer to screw up the work he already did.

2A) The price for the variant is as follows in the table: 409.091 for something that costs 4.09091 without tax, it's thesame for all the other variants, it says 29.466.281 for an article that costs 294.66281 without tax. What do I fill in for the variants that needs to be filled in? Do I add the dots or just type 554118 for something that costs 5.54118 ?
2B) I see that for a product with 2 accesslevels it gives the following in the box: 226.85950|152.00000 / So there it gives the normal decimal point because that one costs €226.85950 or €152.00000 without tax.
Do I get it right if I do that with all the multiple access level prices?

Thanx for your time!

Hi,

1) You just have put column that you want to modify. Only the "product_id" is required if you want to update an existing product. Otherwise it would try to create a new product.

2) A price is a float number, if you remove the dot, it's not the same value. Are you sure that your software display the value correctly ?
Please check the csv content using a classical text editor.
