<SOLVED>Add Vendor ID to a Product

Hi there.. I accidentally sent this via email.. only to read later that email is not the right medium for this question. Posting again here.

Question: Is there a place in the application to add a vendor's user id. I need to connect the vendor user_id (not super who creates the product on the backend) with the customers who purchase the vendor's product.

Right now my vendors are coming to me and I am putting the products on the site (which is fine as this is the flow I want), but somehow, I then need to be able to update a "created_by" to add their ID.

any thoughts and suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I had a thought that will likely solve my needs.

In the product title or product alias fields I could enter the user_id of the vendor.

Those fields are likely meant for other data, but seems to populate the table properly for me to run a sql query.

Does that make sense?

I assume I can install and test for 30 days to see if this would work with our application?
