Cannot get past register/address on checkout

I'm really confused as to what the problem is here. I've gotten a product listed with options. The pricing is set - when I add it to the cart, the page goes to a login/address form. I fill that out and say "register" or "login" and it just stays on that page, never moving past it.

If I remove the login portion - the flow is marked "invalid" on the back end, and while I now get a "next" button, the next button goes no where either.

This is my first experience (outside of making PayPal buttons) setting up a shopping cart at all. I'd be willing to let someone login the backend of things if it would help - I need to figure out how to get this online.

I don't have a published menu for the products yet, but I have a link via hidden menu.

Can you give a link to that shop so that we can see that checkout page where you can't go to the next step ?

Also, when you remove the login, the error message says that you also need to remove the address view if you want to do that... I would recommend to follow the advice and remove both if you don't want the login/registration forms.

here's the address: waaycool.com/products

after adding that one item to the cart, it goes to the checkout screen.

Side question(s):

Is there a way to apply shipping prices different to different items? What I mean is - the one product that's there now can ship Qty: 1-2 for one price, Qty: 3-4 for another price..

but I have other products that will ship at different rates (i.e. Qty: 1-8 at one price, Qty 9-20 at one price...).

Is there any way to set that up in the manual shipping?

And lastly - if I'm using the PayPal plugin, should I still get an SSL to protect my customer's info on its way over to PayPal?

P.S. If any of this requires more than the Hika-Free, let me know, that's not a big problem.

Hi,

I checked your website just now and I was able to register, confirm my account and finish the checkout.
I couldn't reproduce the error you're talking about.

In the manual shipping methods, you can turn on the "price per product" option and then configure the shipping price for each product based on the quantity on the product edition page.

You don't need SSL with the PayPal payment plugin.

Ok, Is there a way to make them NOT have to register an account and activate it? Seems a little cumbersome if they just want to buy one thing really quick.

Yes, in the checkout confguration you can set the option "registration" to "no registration" then do some translation override to replace the "register" to, for example, "use this address".
And the customer will checkout without register.

Few topics are talking about that already.

I'm assuming here that I can't do this with the free versions since that part is disabled?

Yes it's not available in the free version of HikaShop.
