Exclude shipping option from specific product

I've searched HS, the docs, and the forums and haven't found a solution.

I have a manual shipping rate configured for USPS Media Mail (because the existing USPS option doesn't have media mail rates yet).

However, we have some products that are not eligible for Media Mail due to their content.

Is there any way to EXCLUDE a shipping option for a specific product?

(We're using the latest business version of HS)

The problem is that making changes to the volume/weight restrictions on the shipping plugin will cause other items to be effected (we have some products that are the same size/weight and ARE viable for that shipping method). And we can't 'fool' the system by changing the volume/weight on the product (i.e. set it for very large, etc.) because then it would mess up the other shipping options.

I think that this probably should be added to the USPS shipping upgrade process because this is pretty unique to the USPS (that certain 'types' of content are eligible for shipping); although it would probably be very helpful to have a manual shipping option to filter based upon a category or some custom field.

At this point, I can't think of any way to make USPS Media rate shipping work properly (anyone else got a way to make it work with the USPS Media rate content restrictions?)
