No Shipping Method Found

I'm sorry. I know this has been covered before. I've read those posts and the documentation but I'm still unable to find my problem. This is a new setup, that has never worked. This is on Joomla 2.5.9 and Hikashop 2.0.0. When I add products to my cart and go to checkout, I get the "No Shipping Method Found". I'm using the Manual Shipping Plugin. I've made all the products (Tshirts) 1 lb. and put the shipping method to be applicable for 0-800lbs. Any ideas? I'll be glad to offer any other info, I'm just not sure what more to include. Thanks!

Hi.

Check the Payment plugin configuration to see if you selected the Shipping method(s) you want to display with it. If not, select it/them. Tip: Hold down the control (Ctrl) key on your keyboard when selecting multiple shipping methods.

Thank you for the reply! That WAS something I missed however, even after that was corrected I get the same error.

Hi,

Can you try to enable the option "Include virtual products price".
Have you set a zone restriction on the shipping method ?

Be sure that you have a good weight for the products.

If it still doesn't work, can you give us a screenshot of your shipping method configuration ?

Here is a screen capture of my shipping method configuration. Each item (Tshirt) is listed as 1lb. I can provide a screen capture of that also though if that would help! I have not set any zone restrictions, unless that's easy to do by accident. Thanks!

Hi, I am having a similar problem,
having been through all the documentation very carefully, I am baffled as to why i get no shipping methods appear at the checkout, unless i check 'force shipping regardless of weight' and then only one (incorrect!) option appears.
All product weights are specified in grams (the first defined in available weight unit config).
and the customer address is within the zone each shipping method is restricted to.

Any help would be very appreciated :)

Hi,

@OneKid: Have your products variants ? If it is, thanks to check the weight of each variants. Could you give us a screenshot of you checkout config.

@IndigoSphere: Because of Zone limitation, the user must enter his address to see the available shipping methods. To not confuse the users, you can create two steps, the first one with login - address - payment and the second with shippin - etc. (It's an example)

@Xavier Thanks for your assistance, breaking the checkout down into steps is much easier on the eye, I actually didn't clock that this was possible! so thanks for the nudge.
The cause of my problem however was the weights of the product variants.
Maybe it would be useful if product variants in future releases could inherit their dimensions and weight properties from the parent product by default?

Hi,

HikaShop 2.1.0 already have this fix. You can download the latest package in order to retrieve all improvments and fixes.
www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentatio...ashop-changelog.html

The weight and dimensions of the main product was not passed to the variants for the shipping calculations

The variants is what got me. I didn't realize that the variants didn't inherit the weight. (I didn't even think to look there, whoops!) Anyway, it seems to work fine now. Thank you!
