Hi

I am trying to change the product background colour from white to gray (#555555) but cannot figure it out.
I have gone to Menu Display->Content Menu->Product Listing and changed the background in there, but it has not helped.

The shop can be found at:

Hello,

Maybe you can change the css.

#your-position div.hikashop_subcontainer.thumbnail {background-color:#555555;}

Hope it can help...

Thanks, but I searched the frontend_default.css file and nothing came up for that.

I had a few listings for subcontainer but nothing with a colour (color) field.
Same for thumb.

Still confused. :(

Do you use firebug or something like this. There you can see which class you have to edit in the css?

The css for Hikashop is in configuration > view > css

I'm using firebug, forumsearch, dokumentation and then I ask.. It's so easy ;)

I have used Web Dev Tools (Firefox extension) but the css files it shows me have nothing relevant to the colour of the product listing background.

I have also tried firebug but it didnt give me any css data.

Sometmes there is no backgroundcolor defined in the css, have you tried to put it in by yourself and then tested it?

try component>hikashop>general configuration
then highlight display
after the general display stteings you find the CSS
click on the little folder to open the file
so try to find the div.hikashop_subcontainer.thumbnails or create it

div.hikashop_subcontainer.thumbnail {background-color:#555555;}
save the file
reload

:woohoo:

OK. So here is the solution that presented itself.
Seems it was ALOT easier than I was making it, thanks to everyone for their help.

Step 1. Opened Joomla Menu Manager and clicked on the Shop menu item.
Step 2. Clicked hikashop options.
Step 3. Under details -> Associated Modules -> "click here to ..."
Step 4. Parameters for DIV -> item box background colour -> 555555

Done.

So simple I am kicking myself for not finding it. Sorry if i led anyone astray during the search as I had missed this the first time and only set the background for the categories.
