Product Gallery Suggestions

I'm somewhat new to Joomla and Hikashop, but used to CMS systems and am an experienced developer.

I would like to gallerize my products presentation, so that there would be about 6 products horizontally across with a left and right ajax buttons to move either way. My thoughts on my options on this are:

1. Manually modify the existing template code to do this.
2. Add in a gallery module and customize it to work with Hikashop.
3. Add in a gallery module and customize hikashop to work with that.

Option 1, I could do, but seems the most work with a quite a bit re-inventing the wheel.

It seems like there must be a lot of people with similar requirements. I'm looking for some clear, easy solution to do this and with a possible recommendations on what gallery modules to use.

I've seen some discussions on copying and pasting the 'add to cart' code to an image gallery. That seems like it will have some hidden consequences to it. Nevertheless, unless I hear something better, that might be best bet. Please tell me of a better solution.

You can use our carousel to display pictures inline. This can be displayed on a product listing page, or in a module.

Or some existing modules can do the trick, like "djslider".

This looks promising, but I am unable to find this. Can you give me the steps to find this option? At one point, I found some DIV options, but nothing about carousel.
