Akeeba Subscription Integration

Hi - this is (almost) working. I have installed Hikashop's Akeebasubs plugin and can set the appropriate level for each product.

On completion of payment, the customer receives an email from the Akeebasubs component: the New Subscription email. Akeebasub shows the subscription when the user logs in and follows the link.

However Akeeba Subscription works by elevating the users access permissions to a new Group: Subscriber/Premium Content (sticking with their notation).

If I register through Akeebasubs everything works fine, permissions are elevated and Premium Content becomes visible.

If I do this through Hikashop everything looks OK except that the customer is still stuck at Registered. Something (Hikashop or Akeebasubs) should have changed this to Subscriber. Because the new user is stuck at Registered the Premium Content is not available.

Does anyone know how this should this work and why it isn't?

Hope someone can help.

Kind regards,
Ric

PS: If I buy 2X a product I get 2X a subscription period. Exactly what is needed. Just brilliant!

Hi,

I would recommend that you contact Akeeba subscriptions support regarding that.
HikaShop simply tells Akeeba Subscriptions to add the subscription to the user when the order is confirmed. It should be Akeeba Subscriptions which should elevate the user access permissions based on how you configured Akeeba Subscriptions to do it with the subscription purchase.

Thanks Nicolas,

The website is a test site for evaluation and has had many uninstalls and reinstalls. I decided over the weekend to rebuild a clean install from scratch. Everything worked as it should be. I'm still looking at the PayPal options (sandbox) and so far Hikashop has held up well.

Thanks again for a product that integrates well with Akeeba Subs.

Ric
