hikashop_container - edit of category block

Good day

I inspected the element on my hikashop page, viewing the categories. I can't seem to find the css or file to edit the class="hikashop_container"

The width is 35% at the moment and I want it 25%.

Below is the code copied:

Will this influence my products aswell or just the category view, as I only want the category view to be this width.

Hi,

I think that you have edited you index.php file of your template.
Try to edit it again to correct the error. You maybe have forgot a ";" or "}".

You can edit this file via FTP, or via the backend in Joomla > Extensions > Template manager.

I did have a look at the css styling they sent me, but I still cant find the css on where to edit the class="hikashop_container" aswell as the element.style.

Like I said in my previous post can you explain me what do you exactly want to do ?
If you want to edit your category listing, did you tried to use some options like "Number of columns" through your category listing configuration page ?

the attached is the only edit are i can see for categories. Ive only got the starter hikashop.

Youll see on attachement (images2.jpg) I want it more to display as per the second image, wording close to image. I made the change online - with inspect element, google chrome. but cant seem to find it in css

Hi Melissa,

You have two options there:
- First you can simply enlarge the thumbnails size in System>Configuration>Main>Images so the images will look closer
- Or you can add a column so 4 product will be display on each line. For this, you have to look on the left of your module/menu option (next to the part you posted) and increase the number of column

I did enlarge the thumbnail, but the "box" enlarge in ratio. so i tried option 2, but I cant seem to find the menu to edit the columns. Apologies, i am new to hikashop, still very dumb!

You'll find it through "Hikashop->Display->Content menu->'YOUR CATEGORY MENU'"

You maybe edited the wrong category listing menu, so can you please give a link to your category listing, then I'll give you the ID of the good category listing menu.

Thanks Mohamed, I got it sorted, edit the hikashop product image:

height: 200px !important;} - added this line - works perfectly
