I was wondering if it's possible to edit the fields for CSV-upload?

I've got a webshop where my supplier upload a file every morning with products and prices. But the file they upload is not working with Hikashop. This is the fields that appears in the top of the csv-file...

itemID
Qty
ItemOEM
ItemEAN
Item
ItemTxt
ItemWebDescription
Unit
StockActual
ExpectedDate
Price
PriceTaxAndFees
Currency
VatTax
ItemType
Brand
Weight
Volume
Height
Width
Depth
AddFeesTax
CustItemId
CreateDateTime
StatCode
OrigCountry
MinQ
Multiples
Colli
BrandTxt
ItemTypeTxt
NonStockItemTxt
BIDID

It's not every single thing that has to be shown on the webshop or the backend, but is there a guide or something like "How To" to edit the way, the CSV-upload is working? Thanks.

Hi,

My advice would be to, use the "export CSV" option of your "Hikashop->Products" page, to fill and edit this file, and to reupload it through the "Import CSV" option.

Hope this will help you.

Yes I could do that. The problem is, that my supplier uploads a file every morning. This file is automaticly uploaded to Hikashop, so if it's possible, I want to be able just to upload the file and that's it? :) Thanks.

Hi,

The exported CSV file would give you the right structure.
After that, you just have to make a compatible CSV file for each automatic upload.

Hello, this is a similar thread to my question so i will add on...
I have a shop i need to import between 100-1700 item into, i have used the export file to create an upload template which i am then editing to create the items.

Can you let me know why its not loading the images its applying the image as a name and not the actual image.
Cheers this would realy speed this import up

product_id,product_name,product_description,product_code,product_tax_id,product_type,parent_category,categories,images

Just a thought, have you given it a directory to look for the images?

The product_type column can only be "variant" or "main" (in your case main).
Also, you need to upload your images in the folder
media/com_hikashop/upload before the import of the CSV so that
HikaShop can link the image and the product together based on the CSV.

Thanks i will be trying this again soon, i did try it with the images in the location you mentioned and i also noticed the main and variant option also.
This has been a really frustrating process, its been a load of trial and error, great feature just not as well documented as i would have liked.
