We use Hikashop for our book publishing company and it has been an amazing asset since we installed it. We've recommended Hikashop to a lot of our companies in our network. Thanks guys. There is one question that I asked last year and didn't really get any answers to. We need to check how many copies of an individual book we've sold over the year. There must be some way of keying in the book title and then pulling up figures for the number of sales. Is there any way of doing this? If there is, can someone offer an easy step-by-step guide?

Hi,

Now with HikaShop you can create powerful reports that you can insert in your dashbord or just consult in the report menu.
You can create a report in ordre to display the sales for a single product.

So now, it's possible :)

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. Is there any chance you can tell me how to do this? A step by step guide on what to do would be really useful.

Hi,

You can do it by creating a new report via the menu Orders->Reports and creating for example a lines type of report, grouping the products per year and using the comparison of products. Also, you can filter by order status to only select confirmed and shipped orders.

Sorry I don't understand your reply ( grouping the products per year and using the comparison of products). I've logged into the 'report' section and gone to 'new'. I can see where it says 'Line' under 'Display' but no idea what to do from there. All I need to know is how many units of a particular product we've sold. Is there anyone that can give me step by step instructions on how to find this out?

Hi there,

First you should take a look at the documentation to get how the reports are working.
In your case, there are multiple solutions depending of what you want to display.
I think you can try this:
Display type: Listing
Period: All Time
Type: Products
Limit (in options): none
Displayed information: order
Ordering: best

This will display everyproduct with the quantity sold.
If you want to limite this display to only few product, just add some product in the filter column on the left :)
