On the Images area of the product edition page, there is a new button labeled "Select" that you can use to select an already uploaded image with the new image manager.

Hi Nicolas,

Is it possible to create a direct link from the content folder of image manager to Joomla media files?

Best Regards,
Wolfgang

I'm not sure I understand.
You want to access the joomla media files in the image manager ?
In that case, you will have to change the image upload folder option of the hikashop configuration in order to point it to the joomla media files folder (images I think). You will also have to move all your already uploaded images from the media/com_hikashop/upload to your joomla media files folder so that the images you already attached to your products will still display.

I want to do it on the inverted way. The reason is that I will use a external carrousel and it only let me chose files from Joomla media. If its possible to have all images in Joomla Media I don´t will need to upload them two times.

You can't change the location of the joomla media manager as far as I know.

I already explained how to have all the images in the joomla media folder in my previous post.

Hi Nicolas,

I did how explained in your last post. First I tested it on local instalation and it works fine for me. On the web instalation I have problems after change ihe images to folder images/upload/. The images on main pages are shown as 238x238 instead of 178x238. In product details the product title changes the size and color (white). On local- and web host I have the same image files and hikashop images configuration is the same too. In both instalations I set the image widh to 238 and left the image high empty. Do you know why can this happen?

Hi,

It could be that on your hosting, HikaShop (and joomla) has not the access rights to create the thumbnails in the images/upload folder.
Please make sure that you have set enough permissions in that folder so that HikaShop can create the thumbnails folders and the thumbnails in them.

Actually I have thumbnails in the images/upload folder. Joomla take images from thumnail folder 238X238 instead of 238x178. I think the problem has to be other. Since I have changed the folders and installed the carroussel The title from products in product details changes color and size. Do you know if there is a compatibility conflict with Hikashop and JSN ImageShow?

I've never used JSN ImageShow so I can't comment on that.

Could you give a screenshot of the problem and give a link to the page with the issue so that we can see that ?

Hi Nicolas,

For me it seems that since changing hika image folder & adding JSN extension the css of title in product details comes from other css file or css file position. Is this possible?

Hi,

Your configuration specify a fixed height which is automatically added in the web page by this line (in several views):

<div style="height:<?php echo $this->image->main_thumbnail_y;?>px;text-align:center;clear:both;" class="hikashop_product_image">
So, you can add a new CSS rule which would abort the height:
.hikashop_product_image {
   height: auto !important;
}
And your design would come back.

Hi Jerome,

This is what I needed. Thank you. For the title I added some css too. Now it works fine for me.

Best Regards
