Shopping cart specifics / can you customize?

We are considering using your shopping cart for a project, but wanted to further ask some one about certain needs we have.

Does your shopping cart provide the following (see below). If there are any work-arounds or suggestions you have we are open to that too.
- searchable area for products / filters
- allow for order limits during checkout (example: max order you're allowed in one checkout is 5 packages of product ABC)
- allow for a calendar option during checkout to select your shipping date needed
- when someone purchases a product it generates an e-mail to the sales team telling them about the order (order info, tracking number, contact info, dated needed for product) AND sends confirmation and tracking number to customer
- when checking out need a little check box that says ___ (checkbox) I understand there is a charge for shipping/handling and it is commission deducted (almost like those little checkboxes that say I read and agree to terms and conditions)
- need the product area to have a message associated with the product if it is out of stock
- real-time inventory and be able to run reports of what's in stock, what's been purchased x-date to x-date, who purchases the most
- international shipping: either with each item it says whether it can ship internationally or not and prohibit someone from purchasing if they are out of country and the product is not international OR someone can click an "international" button and only those products appear
- during the checkout process, you can type in your shipping zip code for example and it will tell you the different shipping options and prices associated with it OR is this something that depends on the shipping gateway being used?
- a way to have an account credit when paying
- one of their product categories is the purchasing of marketing material, for example they might have a packet/PDF that a person can purchase and place their logo on it and name, could they purchase then could they fill out a form with any info, upload their logo, in a comment box type in their name and send off or possibly see a preview (might be too complicated), this gets sent to the sales team and the graphic designer inserts the logo and name then sends the person a confirmation e-mail with a link to an area to download the file - almost like a FTP type thing? - open to ideas
- additional marketing material purchasing...the purchasing of other PDFs and templates, could they purchase and then be linked to an area to download?

Hi,

- You can use the Joomla search module with the plugin for HikaShop search / or use the hikashop filters to display them on a product list.
- HikaShop has a limit system, you can restrict the number of items.
- You can create a custom field with the "date" type, and a plugin "dynamic calendar" allow you to restrict certain date ...
- The emails are by default sent to the customer AND the admin when an order is created and when the order status change.
- You can create a custom field with the type "checkbox" in the table "order" to display in in the checkout. ps: the payment/shipping fee can be added to the methods.
- You can edit the view "product / quantity" and add a custom message depending on the product name.
- The reports answer to your needs, you can create new reports on what you need.
- The shipping methods can be restricted by zone, if the customer is not in the zone so a message is displayed. You can too create a custom field, for example "international" in the table "product" and set 1 when it's an international product, and add a filter on this custom field to display the international products.
- The ZIP code is asked in the checkout, and the shipping methods are selected and displayed depending on it.
- I think that the integration with alphauserpoint is what you need.
- For this feature you can use the custom fields (again ;) ) and add one of the type "image" in the table "item" and another one for the name and why not another on for comments. Then you will see that in the orders in backend, and the graphic team can insert the logo and name, and send an email. The file can be added in the order in the previously created custom field in the table "product" and with the type "file".
- On a product page (backend), you can attach a file. Then this file can be for free download or not, if not the customer will receive a link in the confirmation email to download this file, or via the menu "user control panel" he can see his orders and see the link to the document to download.

It seems that HikaShop answer to all your needs.
We don't customize, but your can if you want post a request in the commercial jobs section of this forum.
