UPS Shipping method (Not Manual)

I have read the entire FAQ section on this 3 times now ( www.hikashop.com/en/support/documentation/faq.html#shipping ) and cannot get the UPS shipping method to show as a choice upon checkout.

The manual plugin shows, but why does my UPS plugin not work. I can't use the manual plugin in our store.

I have a screenshot showing the setup page. It is published. My products have weight. I don't have a zone.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Your products also need to have dimensions.
Also make sure that you selected the "United States of America" for the country of your warehouse and not "United States Minor Outlying Islands". As it starts the same, sometimes people confuse both.
Then, I see that you only selected one shipping service. Maybe that one is not available for your user case (for example if the destination address is outside USA/puerto rico, if the weight is too big for UPS ground, etc). Try to select them all to see if you get a result.

Finally, the best is to temporarily unpbulish the manual shipping method. That way, the system won't find any valid shipping methods and will display the error messages coming from the UPS plugin if any.

I don't have dimensions yet. So hopefully that's it.

Alright. So I got it working.

I'm curious now why it is wanting to give me multiple packages even though I have "Group Packages" selected. What is the threshold or determining factor in this?

Yes, that's probably that the combined weight/dimension of the products go over the maximum package size.

I have exclude dimensions set to YES in the plugin because I was running up against an error. Are those dimensions characteristics something I set up in my UPS account?

EDIT: I've double checked and configured more dimensions and added the dimensions back to the plugin... It appears to be working now. However, I am seeing a shipping price increase for objects that do not have weight or dimensions (i.e. the software we sell)...

Any ideas?

Make sure that you turn off the option "force shipping regardless of weight" in the configuration.

That is set to "No" right now. Yet, I can clearly see my software (0 lbs, 0 in L, W, H) bumping the shipping up 5 dollars when I add it and refresh.

What's weird, is that it seems to be related to the option you choose also. All options are 0 weight and Dimensions too.

Then make sure that you turn off the "add prices" of your UPS shipping plugin.

Aha! You're magic, Nicolas. That did it.

I read the documentation to try and determine what those different values achieved, but wasn't clear on that. "Negotiate Rate" isn't even in the docs. Still not sure what that one does.

That allows you to use either the standard UPS rates or the rates that you negotiated with UPS (and thus lower).
