Menu Help

I may be overlooking something...but I've been scratching my head trying to figure this out.

I have my homepage set up as a category page. On my home page I have a large image in a module that I use as a header. I have it set to only display on the homepage.

When someone clicks one of the categories, it takes them to the category, but it continues to show the image on the page. When they click a product, same thing.

I want it so when a category is clicked on the homepage it takes them to another page where the header isn't showing.

What am I doing wrong?

I think that it's because joomla think that it's still the same menu.
