Hi,

There is no option for that. If you use the default joomla SEF URLs system and don't have any SEF URL cache, you don't have such list as the SEF URLs are generated on the fly.
SH404SEF has a cache of the URLs so you can get the URLs from there.
Otherwise, if you use xmap, along with the xmap plugin of hikashop, it should be possible to generate a page with all the product URLs on the frontend.

Hi,

I ran into the following:

When I open a product page, Hikashop gives it a SEF url.
When I put the product in the cart and I click on the product from the cart, there is another SEF url
When I find the product via the Joomla search function, there is yet another SEF url.

So there are at least 3 different SEF url's that point to the exact same product.

Of course this is VERY bad for the search results and what I want is completely disable this behaviour.
I want just ONE plain old fashioned joomla url so that I can create ONE Artio JoomSEF URL that points to this one-and-only url.

So the question is how to disable Hikashop SEF urls?

Kind regards,
Maurice

Hi,

The URL from the cart and the URL from the search are not known by search engines, so it is not a problem at all actually.

Also, it actually depends on how you configure your plugins/modules.
If you want the same URL for the search results, you should make sure that you set the id of your products listing menu in the "menu" option of your hikashop products search plugin.

Finally, this is not something you can disable. Actually, it's not HikaShop which generates the URLs but your SEF extension itself based on the non-SEF URL given by HikaShop. Then, maybe this could be configured or modified in the joomSEF integration with HikaShop but I can't answer to that as I don't know how it is done.

Hi Nicolas,

I'm still having big trouble sorting this out. I 've bought Artio Jooomsef a while ago and uninstalled it. It's is just not working. Support is very meager and I removed it from our site after a couple of months. It was a waste of time and money if you want it working in combination with Hikashop.

Let me tell you what I need. Maybe you or someone else can tell me step by step how to achieve this because it's been driving me crazy :woohoo:

  • I have a JoomlaCK dropdown menu where I listed manually all the categorynames of the Hikashop categories.
  • All menu items link to a normal article, lets say an article with the name "Fears & Phobias"
  • when I click the menu I want to go to the url: www.domain.com/fears-and-phobias . This can be managed, since it is Joomla only.
So far so good. Now the problem...
  • On this article page fears-and-phobias I have written some text and I call a Hikshop Content Module that displays all products from a Hikashop category, also named fears-and-phobias
  • When I click a productlink i.e. "Free from fear of dogs", I want to go to the url: www.domain.com/fears-and-phobias/free-from-fear-of-dogs
  • where fears-and-phobias reflects the hikashop category name (or alias) and free-from-fear-of-dogs reflects the product name (or alias)

When I put the product in the cart and I click on the product in the cart, I want this to be the same url:
www.domain.com/fears-and-phobias/free-from-fear-of-dogs

When I do a search and I click un the search results and thi sproduct opens, I also want this same url:
www.domain.com/fears-and-phobias/free-from-fear-of-dogs

And finally, I want these url's to be created automatically, or only once, without the need of making a handful of 301 redirects.

Please... I hope you can tell me what to do to step-by-step to get this finally sorted out.

Kind regards,
Maurice

Hi,

You can't do that.

HikaShop cart and search systems cannot guess which menu item you want to use for each product for which they display a product page link because of the way the SEF system of Joomla is done. Sure, you can probably add custom coding to do it if you ask a developer to do that for you, but it's not something which can be handled automatically by default and thus you won't find options to do what you want.

Now my question to you is why do you want to do that ? Search engines won't add products to the cart, and they won't use your search form, so regardless of the links generated by the search and the cart, search engines won't find them and won't penalize your product pages as having duplicate links.
Furthermore, if you're worried about that, you can always enter the canonical URL of each product and then, even if they find duplicate URLs, they won't penalize the content as they know that you want them to be counted as the same content of one canonical URL.
So if you're worried about SEO, there is no reason you should, and I don't see any other reason besides that.
