Badge in category list view

Hello. My congratulations to authors of this awesome cart and clever business strategy to give to users basic package for free. I have one problem with badge. How I understand settings for badges, I need to create new badge and to assign it to any category. From that moment, any product inside that category will get this badge. That is how it works now, and everything is OK. But, what I want is to assign badge "New" (for example) to Category itself, not to products inside it. So, in main category listing I want to some categories have badges "New", "Free" and so on...
Maybe it is already possible but I miss something in settings?

Adding badges on category is not yet possible with Hikashop.
We must admit it's not something we think about when we did the badges feature since in this case the badge will apply only on one image.
It's probably easier to edit the image by yourself to add the badge.
However we'll think about it
