Categories menu - style change.

Hello,
we'd like to change the shape of the lateral subcategories menu, in something like the css found at
http://cssmenumaker.com/builder/426420
Inspecting the files we found the css menu declarations on

/media/com_hikashop/css/menu.css

.
Is this the right place?
Could you suggest a good way to proceed to implement this change?

Hi,

You should add your CSS in the backend CSS file of HikaShop that you can edit via the Display tab of the configuration. If you edit the menu.css file directly, you will loose your changes when you update.

You can't edit that file via the backend. Again, you should edit instead the backend CSS file of HikaShop via the Display tab of the configuration.
There simply add overriding CSS for the CSS of the menu.css file using the !important CSS trick:
