Empty Cart Confirmation

Is there any way to have a confirmation pop-up before the cart gets emptied?

Also, we changed the frontend_default.css file to make the span.hikashop_product_name a height of 36px to properly align the DIV's. This worked fine until we upgraded Hikashop today and the file was overwritten.

Is there any way to prevent this happening in the future?

Many thanks.

Hi,

For the cart confirmation, there is no default options. But you can add some custom code in the view "product / cart" to check the number of content in the cart, and if only one article, add a onclick on the delete icon to display a popup.

Concerning the CSS, have you edited it in HikaShop > Configuration > Display > CSS, Frontend default css file ?
If it is, it should not be overwritten.

Thanks.

The CSS was changed in the Frontend default css file and has not been altered after upgrading from Essential to Business. Hopefully it sticks this time!

I'm not sure where to start with the php to check the cart and display a popup!

Now problem number 3!

I have 2 modules on my homepage, a Slideshow and Hikashop Best Sellers. These are configured only to show on the Home page and browsing through categories to the product works as expected and they do not get displayed. However, if I click on the product from the Home page which is Hikashop > Product Listing type, you are taken to the product view, but the 2 homepage modules are still displayed. I have configured the Hikashop associated module Menu option to Shop Categories (and almost every other menu option listed) but I cannot get Hikashop to register that it is no longer on the homepage.

This is probably a really simple config problem, but I can't seem to solve it!

Test url is at hrvc.baigrie.co.uk/test

Can you try to change this menu to a category listing menu, and associate a module to list the products ?

If I change it to a category listing, I get all my categories on the home page rather than random products. Clicking into the category doesn't make any difference as I still see the 2 modules that should only show on the homepage.

I have the config as attached.

Mmm. I'm not sure I understand.
I checked your website and I saw the carousel but not the best sellers module.
And whether I click on the best sellers product link or via the shop categories module, I'm redirected to the same link and thus the same page:
hrvc.baigrie.co.uk/test/index.php/shop-c...d-cichlid-5-6cm-trio

Thanks Nicolas. I've moved the best sellers module to the bottom of the page and made it visible on all pages, but the problem still exists with the slideshow.

If you click on of the 12 products show on the home page below the slideshow, you get taken to the following URL:

hrvc.baigrie.co.uk/test/index.php/produc...ek-likoma-5-7cm-trio

and the slideshow is still visible.

However, accessing the same product through the categories produces a different URL, without the slideshow visible:

hrvc.baigrie.co.uk/test/index.php/shop-c...ek-likoma-5-7cm-trio

Hi,

I'm sorry but I see the slideshow at the bottom of both pages.

Hi Nicolas.

The carousel should show at the bottom of both pages. The slideshow is the large banner advert at the top of the page and should not show on either page as it is set to ONLY show on the home page.

Hi there,

It is because the links are different and the item id is as well.
What you have to do is to edit the module which bring you to one of these pages.
For example if it's through the carousel, edit the hikashop module which display it and change the associated menu (at the bottom of the left configuration block).
Sou you'll be able to select a menu where the top slideshow is displayed or not.

Hi Eliot, I have tried various combinations for the Menu under the module associated with the home page, but nothing I do seems to make a difference.

If I give you access to the back end, would you be able to take a look?

Thanks.

Thanks Xavier. I have now created a new Home menu item and configured it using the Random Items module and this time it works!

Not sure why it wouldn't do that with the default Joomla Home menu item. I've simply unpublished that one.

Thanks for all your help and patience on this minor problem.
